Meet the Owner:

Jeff Dieterle

It all started when Jeff started his own band back in 2001- Total Soul. Jeff, a trombone player at heart, was tired of showing up to gigs where sound engineers knew exactly how to plug in wires but had no idea how to isolate unwanted frequencies or create great mixes for the musicians. When Jeff started his band Total Soul, he hired Charles Johnson, a sound engineer with Kool and the Gang, to show him the ropes. Jeff mentored under Charles and eventually obtained all of his own equipment. The days of annoying monitor feedback and terrible mixes were now a thing of the past :-) Jeff started mixing other bands at outdoor concerts for local agents when his band was not booked. Today, Soul Party Sound has a staff of 6 sound technicians who are all qualified to mix FOH and monitor mixes. The engineers on the SPS staff are all musicians at heart with great ears and deep knowledge of the music business. SPS has multiple vehicles loaded with sound equipment and LED lighting, ready to go at a moment's notice!

Here is a bit more about Jeff, the owner of SPS:

Jeff appears on Alicia Keys' MTV Unplugged CD/DVD compilation with the Chops Horns section www.ChopsHorns.com. He has also performed with Alicia Keys at the Fashion Rocks TV Show in 2004, at Live Earth in 2007 at Giants Stadium, and at the BET Awards TV Show in 2010. Jeff can be heard on several tracks of Mariah Carey's Emancipation of Mimi CD, which was produced by Randy Jackson. Jeff has performed for the BET Honors Awards held in Washington DC in 2008 and 2011 with Ray Chew (Apollo Theater, American Idol, and Dancing with the Stars TV show band leader). Jeff is also on track 10 of India Arie's Voyage to India CD. Jeff's studio recording experience includes broadcasts of the Fox Network's cartoon The Tick.

Jeff has worked with band leaders, brides/grooms, party planners, and special event organizers since Soul Party was founded back in 2003. Feel free to contact Jeff through the "Contact Page" in order to discuss your upcoming sound needs.
